7-Up Cobbler Cake

Pour 2 cans cherry pie filling in a 9 by 13 inch pan, sprinkle one yellow cake mix (dry) over the pie filling. Pour a 12 oz. can of 7-up over the dry cake mix.

7-Grain Bread

Boil water, add milk and heat to scalding.
Add salt, canola oil and molasses, then add 1/2 cup each of 7 different grains and cool mixture to lukewarm, then add whole wheat flour, white flour and yeast.
Stir thoroughly.
Pour on heavily floured board and knead, adding flour as needed.
Let rise until double in bulk and bake in 350\u00b0 oven until done.
Very good and healthy too!

Swiss Vegetable Medley

Combine vegetables, soup, 1/2 cheese, sour cream, pepper, pimento and 1/2 can of onion rings. Pour into a 1-quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Remove from pan and top with remaining cheese and onion rings. Bake, uncovered, another 5 minutes. (I usually double or triple this for a family of 7 as they all like it so well, and it is good for leftovers. Allow extra time for cooking when doing this.) Serves 6.

Cook 3 to 4 hours or in a casserole, bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. Serves a family of 7.

Homemade Substitutes For Condensed Soups

Place saucepan over medium heat.
For CREAM OF MUSHROOM or CREAM OF CELERY: melt butter and saute veggies.
For ALL: combine starch, liquid, and spices in a container with a tight fitting lid. Shake vigorously until well combined. Add to saucepan and stir constantly until thick.
To finish CHEDDAR CHEESE: Remove saucepan from heat. Add cheese and stir until melted.

Chicken And Dressing Casserole

Cook until tender in salted water 6 to 8 chicken breast halves or 1 whole chicken.
Cool in broth, the strip meat off bones. Layer chicken in a 2-quart shallow ovenproof dish.
Combine sour cream, cream of celery soup and cream of chicken soup.
Spread mixture evenly over chicken.
Sprinkle 1 package herb dresing mix (enough for 5 to 7 pound turkey) over mixture.
Drizzle 1/2 cup margarine and 1 cup chicken stock over all.
Bake, covered, for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Serves 8 to 10.

Drain off grease.
Let cool. Break up lettuce, dice up onions, cut up tomatoes, grate up all the cheese and crunch up the Doritos. Add the taco seasoning.
Pour on the dressing.
Mix well and serve with hot steak from the grill.

Add 1 1/2 to 2 cups more of whole wheat flour and 1 1/2 to 2 cups white flour.
Knead in flour for 15 to 20 minutes until smooth and elastic.
