Prepare the cake mix according to its package directions for a 13x9 inch pan; bake as directed; cool.
Prepare pudding mix according to package directions; store in refrigerator.
To assemble the cake: crumble half of the cooled cake into the bottom of a glass punch bowl, trifle bowl, or large glass serving bowl.
Layer with half the pudding, half the pineapple, 1 can of blueberry pie filling, half of the Cool whip, then half of the nuts.

Add nuts, coconut and cherries on top before serving.
Cook cake per box directions and cut into 1-inch cubes. Prepare pudding per box directions.

Spread 1 container whipped topping evenly over top.
Repeat layers.
Garnish top with maraschino cherries, if desired.
Chill until ready to serve.
Refrigerate any leftovers.

Bake cake as directed on box.
Pour batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan or 2 layer pans sprayed with nonstick spray.
When cake is done, break half into punch bowl.
Make pudding mix with milk; pour half of it over broken cake.
Add pie filling, pineapple and half the bananas.
Mix whipped topping and nuts; put half of this over the bananas.
Repeat layers, ending with topping-nut mixture. Decorate with cherries on top.
Refrigerate at least 4 hours. This amount amply serves 25 people.
For smaller amount, halve the recipe.
Mix and bake yellow cake.
Let cool.
Cut in small squares. Place in bottom of punch bowl.
Layer with strawberry glaze, fresh strawberries and crushed pineapple.
Top with Cool Whip.
Repeat until punch bowl is full.
To layer ingredients in punch bowl:
Cool cake and slice in chunks.
Put 1/4 of cake in bottom of punch bowl.
Pour 1/2 of one box prepared pudding over cake.
Layer 1/2 bananas on top.
Repeat as before.
Add cherry pie filling next.
Top with another 1/4 of cake.
Pour 1/2 of second box of prepared pudding over cake.
Top with 1/2 of crushed pineapple and repeat.
Put strawberries over all and in center of cake topped with whipped topping.
Great for Christmas or holidays.
