My Mother
Nicoletta made this Ragu sauce every Sunday. She usually served
it
with
ziti
or
rigatoni.
This sauce, however, can be
used
with any shape pasta (plain or filled). The meat is
served
after
the pasta dish, as a second course with a salad.
You
can
use
a variety of different meats and any combination works well.
Combine Ricotta, Parmesan and 1 cup Mozzarella.
Stir in sausage and ziti.
Spoon 1/2 of mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole.
Pour 1/2 jar Ragu over this.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning over sauce; sprinkle 1 cup Mozzarella over all. Repeat layers, ending with Mozzarella cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350\u00b0, or until mixture is completely heated through.
Cook ziti, drain.
Cook meat with
