Simmer raisins for 20 minutes.
Remove raisins from juice and let cool.
You will need 1/2 cup of juice from raisins.
Cream together margarine, eggs, sugar and vanilla, then add raisin juice.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, soda and spices together. Slowly mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture. When thoroughly mixed add old fashioned oats, nuts and raisins last.
Bake at 400\u00b0 on top rack for 10 minutes.

Old Fashioned Cupcakes

Frosting: Cream softened

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake

Cream oil, sugar and cocoa.
Add eggs.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Add soda and salt. Add vanilla to hot water and fold water into cake. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until done.
Icing For Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake: Bring margarine, cocoa and whole milk to boil.
Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla.
Mix until smooth and of spreading consistency.
This is my favorite chocolate cake.

Old Fashioned Ham With Brown Sugar And Mustard Glaze

Old Fashioned Ham Glaze

Combine all ingredients.
To Glaze: 30 minutes before ham is done, pour off drippings and remove skin on shank end of ham. Score fat with whole cloves. Spoon glaze over ham. Put back in oven and finish heating, basting several times with glaze.
I even use this on the pre-cooked hams, as well.
Cooking time depends on size and type of ham you are cooking.

Hanover Old Fashioned Ham And Bean Soup

Cook ham in water 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
Remove meat from bone and cut into bite-size pieces.
Add celery, onions and carrots to broth; simmer until vegetables are tender.
Add ham, beans and pepper.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
Notes: Use the large size can of beans in this recipe. You can also use ham flavered soup base 2 teaspoons should do. Enjoy.

Old Fashioned Soft Pumpkin Cookies

Combine, flour, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in medium bowl.
Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl.
Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla; beat until light and creamy.
Mix in dry ingredients until well blended.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Smooth tops of cookies.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cool on wire racks. Drizzle Glaze over tops.

Old-Fashioned Ham And Bean Soup

Place beans in water in a large pot; bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
Add ham bone, onion, celery, carrots and all spices.
Simmer for 2 hours or until beans are tender.
Remove ham bone and cut meat; return to soup.
Remove bay leaf.
Garnish with hard-cooked egg yolk slices.
Serves 10 to 12.

Fruit Glazed Ham

Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Place ham slices in shallow baking pan. Roast until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F.
Mix pineapple and oranges with ham glaze in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 minutes. Spoon half of glaze over top of ham; roast an additional 10 minutes. Place ham slices on serving platter. Serve with remaining warmed glaze.

7-Up Holiday Ham

In a saucepan, melt butter.
Add the brown sugar, 7-up, cornstarch, and ham glaze to the melted butter.
Cook until thickened.
Place sliced ham in a roasting pan.
Pour glaze mixture over ham.
Cover ham with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees OR.
Crockpot:
Pour a little sauce in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add the ham and pour the rest of the sauce over the ham.
Cook on high for 2-4 hours or low 4-6 hours.

Sweet And Sour Hot Ham Sandwiches

Coat large skillet with no-stick cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium heat. Saute ham, 1/3 at a time, 15 seconds or until ham is lightly browned. Remove from skillet and place in large bowl.
Heat oil in same skillet over medium-low heat. Add onion and green pepper; saute 7 minutes or until tender.
Stir in ham glaze, undrained pineapple, brown sugar and vinegar. Heat through. Pour over ham in bowl; toss to coat. Serve on rolls.

The Best Slow Cooker Ham

Combine the maple syrup, pineapple, ham glaze, brown sugar, and cinnamon in the crock pot. Mix well.
Add the ham and stir to mix well.
Cook on low 4 - 5 hours or high for 2 - 3 hours.
