Old Fashioned Ham And Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 lb. ham with bone
    6 qt. water
    1 1/2 c. diced celery
    1 1/2 c. shredded carrots
    1 (112 oz.) can Hanover Great Northern beans
    3/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook ham in water 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat from bones and cut into bite-size pieces.
    Add celery and carrots to broth; simmer until vegetables are tender.
    Add ham, beans and pepper.
    Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
    Serves 30 to 35.
