Use your favorite white cake recipe or use 1 white cake mix and bake according to instructions in 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Let cool 10 to 15 minutes.
Poke holes in the cake with a toothpick, fork tines, etc.
Melt butter, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice in a saucepan.
Spray sides and bottom of a cake pan.
Pour brown sugar mixture into it.
Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top.
Prepare cake mix according to directions on package, or make your favorite cake recipe and pour over mixture in cake pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Let stand to cool a few minutes, then invert onto a plate.
Prepare favorite white cake recipe or boxed cake mix and divide batter between 1 (8-inch) square pan and 1 (8-inch) round pan.
Bake according to directions.
Remove cakes from pan and cool.
Use any good cake recipe
to make 4 layers.
Bake 2 plain, then add raisins, nut meats, cinnamon and cloves.
When cool stick with filling.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, beat thoroughly.
Blend in molasses, beaten eggs and milk.
Carefully mix in sifted flour, baking soda, ginger and salt.
Pour in 8\" square pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
Cream together brown sugar and butter.
Add molasses and baking soda disolved in hot water.
Add dry ingredients to mixture. Beat well.
Put into greased, floured 9x9x2 inch pan,
Bake at 350 F for 35 minutes.
The following may also be added to this recipe- rasins, chopped nuts or candied fruit for fruit cake.
Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add egg, then molasses.
Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Last, add water.
Bake in 8-inch square pan approximately 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat.
Add molasses and buttermilk; beat.
Add flour, cinnamon and nutmeg last.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cover with lemon sauce.

Cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour 13 x 9 pan.
I use Bakers Joy Spray.
In a large bowl combine cake mix, milk, eggs and molasses (and fruit or nuts if using).
Beat on low for 2 minutes.
Beat on high for 4 minutes.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until center of cake springs back when lightly pressed.
Cool in pan.
Frost when completely cool.
Frosting: In a medium bowl stir molasses into frosting until completely mixed.
Spread on cake.
Cut Twinkies in half lengthwise; line cake pan.
Bake a yellow cake (follow cake recipe), but add 2 packages of French vanilla (instant as directions says) pudding as a topping (for regular cake size) for cake instead of icing.
Pour over the cake.
Then drain one large can of crushed pineapple and spread all over top of pudding.
Then top pineapples with Cool Whip (1 tub).
Sprinkle with 2 cups of coconut and sprinkle chopped finely chopped pecans as decoration.
Can be frozen.

For the cake:.
Line 3 (9-inch)
Grease pan.
Combine milk, eggs, molasses and butter.
Beat well, then add cinnamon and flour.
Bake in a big bread pan (9 x 13-inch) on a old wood stove (for a large family) in 350\u00b0 oven. Check after 30 minutes.
Check with toothpick.
If it comes out clean, cake is done.
Makes 9 x 13-inch cake.

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease a 9 x 9 x 1-inch pan.
Sift flour with soda, spices and salt.
Set aside.
In large bowl, beat eggs, butter, molasses and water until mixed well.
Add flour mixture, beating until smooth.
Pour into pan; bake 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool partially in pan on wire rack.
Serve warm.
It's a very good cake.
Cream the butter, molasses, water, salt and brown sugar together.
Beat in eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together and then add to creamed mixture.
Mix well.
Refrigerate for 24 hours. Roll in balls (2-inches in diameter).
Roll in granulated sugar. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Yields approximately 3 1/2 dozen.
Combine the flour and baking soda in a large bowl.
Stir oil, molasses and hot water in small bowl.
Mix well.
Add to flour mixture in large bowl and stir until thoroughly combined.
Place the batter in a lightly oiled 8-inch round cake pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
