Hot German Potato Salad

Cook bacon, drain and crumble.
Add onion to bacon fat and cook until lightly browned.
Place TV scalloped potato slices in a 10-inch skillet.
Sprinkle mix over potatoes.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 30 to 35 minutes until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Carefully stir in bacon, onion, vinegar and bacon drippings and chopped egg. Serve hot.

Cream Cheese Chocolate Drop Cookies

Cream butter, cream cheese and brown sugar until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour.
Stir in flour mixture until smooth.
Add TV chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop by teaspoons about 1 1/2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.

Martha White Basic Cornbread

Heat oven to 450 degrees.
Grease 9-inch ovenproof skillet or 9-inch square pan; place in oven to heat.
In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well.
Pour batter into greased pan.
Bake at 450 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Note: 1 1/3 cup milk can be substituted for buttermilk. Also, recipe can be baked in muffin cups or cornsticks pan. Grease 12 muffin cup or cornsticks pan. Fill muffin cups or cornsticks pan 2/3 full. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Sift dry ingredients into bowl, then rub in the fat until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Pour milk in and stir to make soft dough.
Knead on floured board, then refrigerate for 30 minutes. Break dough into lemon-sized pieces, roll into balls and flatten to 1/2 inch or 1 centimeter thickness.
