Combine flours, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, orange zest and salt in a mixing bowl.

Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt together. Cream butter and shortening together; add eggs, maple syrup and maple flavoring. Blend in dry ingredients, mixing well. Add 1/4 cup boiling water and mix well. Stir in dates and pecans. Chill for at least 1 hour. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Cool.
To make frosting, melt butter in saucepan. Add cream, vanilla, and syrup. Mix well. Blend in sugar; beat until smooth. Frost cookies.

Combine butter, evaporated milk, sugars & salt in a medium heavy-duty saucepan.
Bring to a full rolling boil, sitrring constantly, over medium heat,cook for 5-6 minutes, remove from heat.
Sitr in marshmallows, chips, nuts and maple flavoring, stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marhsmallows are melted.
Pour into prepared pan, on top of fudge, place nut halves in rows spacing bout 1/2\" apart, press into fudge.
Refrigeratate until firm, cut into squares with 1 nut per piece.
Combine first 4 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add vanilla, maple flavoring and water. Beat for 8 minutes. Mix nuts, cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Layer batter and nut mixture in a greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Frost with store bought maple frosting or frosting of your choice.
Several hours before making bread, chop walnuts and add to maple syrup.
Let stand or soak overnight in refrigerator. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
