Maple Nut Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter
    3 unbeaten eggs
    1 c. maple flavored syrup
    1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
    1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) cut up dates
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    3/4 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Cream butter.
    Add eggs, maple flavored syrup and maple flavoring; beat well.
    Blend in dry ingredients gradually; mix thoroughly.
    Add boiling water; mix well.
    Stir in dates, pecans and shredded coconut.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    (I used parchment sheets.)
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 13 to 16 minutes.
    Cool and frost.
