Combine and sift flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Cut in butter until fine as corn meal.
Spread over bottom and halfway up sides of ungreased 8-inch square pan.
Place peaches, cut side up, on mixture.
Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar; sprinkle over peaches.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Mix egg yolks and cream; pour over Kuchen and continue to bake for 30 minutes.
Cook 1 cup sugar, whipping cream and brown sugar very, very slowly in a heavy aluminum pan for about 1/2 hour.
Add butter. Cool and beat to a pudding consistency.
Spread 1/2 mixture on roll dough after shaping in a 9 1/2 to 11-inch pan.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Let rise.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 20 minutes. Spread remaining cream mixture on warm kuchen.
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water in first bowl.
Stir Crisco into 3/4 cup boiling water until melted in second bowl.
In third large bowl combine eggs, sugar, 1 cup warm water and salt. Add yeast mixture and Crisco mixture, then add 3 cups of flour one at a time.
Let rise 2 hours in warm place.
Make rolls or kuchen. Let rise again.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cut Crisco into mix of flour, baking powder, salt and sugar (if desired).
Add egg and just enough milk to make a soft dough. (Kuchen pans should be shallow, about 1-inch, but hard to find.
I use a 7 x 10 3/4 x 1 1/4-inch aluminum pan.)
On floured waxed paper, roll dough to size of pan.
Invert into pan; pat into corners and up edges.
Trim off excess.
If dough tears, just push into place.
Can dab a little water on with fingers if need to seal.
Rerolling makes it tough.
Roll mix has 2 packets.
To yeast packet, add 1 cup warm water.
To flour packet, add 1 egg and 2 tablespoons sugar.
Mix together to make a moist dough.
Add 3/4 cup raisins.
Knead and let stand for 1 hour.
Melt 1/2 stick margarine, brush dough and 2 round pans.
Add 1/2 dough to each pan, add fruit on top.
Make sprinkles by combining remaining margarine and 3/4 cup flour and 1/2 cup sugar.
Sprinkle crumbs on top.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until brown (15 to 20 minutes).
Makes 2 Kuchen.
Mix the ingredients for the crust,well;Divide into 7 balls.
Roll out each and put into pie tins.
Arrange fruit (apples peaches,rhubarb or any other fruit you prefer), in single layer, on the dough.
Sprinkle sugar on the fruit.
Mix together filling ingredients and pour on the fruit.
(I like more filling so I make enough for 8 kuchen).
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake 375\u00b0 till filling is set.
About 33 minutes (If you stick a table knife in filling and it comes out clean it s done.).
