Plum Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    6 blue plums, split
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 egg yolks
    1 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    In bowl, stir flour, 1/4 cup sugar and salt together.
    Cut in butter until mixture is the consistency of cornmeal.
    Pack into ungreased pan (9 x 9 x 2-inches), pressing against bottom and sides.
    Arrange pricked plum halves, skin side up, in rows on top. In bowl combine 3/4 cup sugar with cinnamon.
    Sprinkle sugar evenly over fruit.
    Bake in quick 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    In bowl, beat egg yolks; stir in heavy cream.
    Remove kuchen from oven and pour cream mixture evenly over fruit.
    Return to oven and continue baking for 30 minutes more.
