Heat butter in a Dutch oven, add kielbasa and brown lightly over medium high heat.
Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Add carrots, celery and onion and cook over medium heat until softened.
Add remaining ingredients and kielbasa, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
About 30 minutes before serving, cut bacon into 2-inch pieces. Thinly slice carrots and potatoes.
Cut broccoli into 2 x 1/2-inch pieces.
Cut onion into thin wedges.
Slice kielbasa crosswise into 1/2-inch slices.
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towel to drain. Add sliced kielbasa and onion to pan drippings and cook until onion is tender. Drain. Return to skillet; add beans, tomato sauce, chilies, carrots and green pepper. Stir in thyme, Italian seasoning and black pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes, until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Crumble bacon and sprinkle on top.
In wok or skillet over medium-high heat, cook kielbasa about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly browned.
Stir in frozen vegetables, tomatoes, garlic and pepper.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes until vegetables are tender. Stir in beans and cook 1 to 2 minutes longer until heated through. Makes 4 servings.
Brown onions in oil.
Add the cut up kielbasa, potatoes and tomatoes with the rest of ingredients.
Simmer 1 hour in crock-pot and serve with a warm bread.

When done, add 1 can peas and butter.
Lightly brown the kielbasa in a Dutch oven over medium heat; drain.
Stir in celery, onion and carrot.
Cook about 5 minutes more.
Add beans, broth, salt and pepper.
Sprinkle top with the bread crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until bubbling and crumbs are browned.
Cut off top of pumpkin to make a lid.
Clean out seeds and pulp.
Bake hollowed out pumpkin shell on oven rack at 300\u00b0 for approximately 1 1/2 hours.
Fill with hot beef stew; continue baking an additional hour (stew will pick up some flavor from pumpkin).
Remove from oven; serve, using the pumpkin as your serving dish.
