Kielbasa Stew(Stove Top) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 bacon strips
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 smoked fully cooked kielbasa, sliced thinly
    2 cans Great Northern beans (undrained)
    2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1/2 c. chopped green chilies
    2 medium carrots, thinly sliced
    1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
    1/2 tsp. each dried thyme and Italian seasoning
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towel to drain. Add sliced kielbasa and onion to pan drippings and cook until onion is tender. Drain. Return to skillet; add beans, tomato sauce, chilies, carrots and green pepper. Stir in thyme, Italian seasoning and black pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes, until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Crumble bacon and sprinkle on top.
