Bring water and sugar to a boil, remove from heat and add Root Beer flavoring.
Cool then add dry ice approx 1 hour before serving.
The cane sugar gives it a creamy flavor. I have not experimented with other different Root Beer flavorings, but I hear you can get different kinds at brewery supply stores, or on the internet -- I got mine from the local grocery store (its near the seasonings and flavorings).
Combine juices in a punch bowl, and add 3 to 5 pounds of dry ice. The dry ice block will sink to the bottom and create a spooky mist.
To Serve: Ladle the punch into cups to serve, minus the dry ice. Do not touch or consume dry ice directly (*see note below).
You may offer regular ice in a separate ice bucket if guests would like to add some to their individual cups of punch.
*NOTE OF CAUTION: DO NOT touch or consume dry ice directly. Use tongs, gloves or a heavy towel to handle dry ice.

Pour ginger-ale down the sides of the punch bowl.

Set up the cauldron in serving area and stir the grape sherbet and grape soda together in the cauldron until smooth. With tongs, carefully place the dry ice into the cauldron. It will sink to the bottom and cause the punch to bubble and smoke. Careful, dry ice is so cold it can burn if touched or ingested. Do not consume dry ice.
Place dry ice in punch bowl; pour on ingredients in order: pineapple juice, lemonade, ginger ale, sparkling water, limeade and strawberries.
Dry ice gives off smoke vapor.
When ice is exhausted, add more.
