Award-Winning Maryland Cream Of Crab Soup

Bring milk, half and half, and heavy whipping cream to a boil. Add crab meat, fresh parsley, Old Bay Seasoning, butter, salt and pepper. When it starts to boil, make a paste of cornstarch and water and add to thicken soup.
To serve, sprinkle each serving with a bit of Old Bay and chopped parsley. Serve with oyster crackers and a small cream pitcher of sherry on the side for diners to add to taste. That's how we do it in Maryland!

Maryland Cream Of Crab Soup

Remove cartilage from crab meat.
Dissolve bouillon cube in water.
In 4-quart saucepan, cook onion in margarine or butter until tender.
Blend in flour and seasonings.
Add milk and bouillon gradually and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens enough to coat spoon.
Add crab meat; heat, but do not boil.
Garnish with parsley flakes before serving. Makes 6 servings.

Brown beef in soup pot with bacon strips.
Add other ingredients, except frozen vegetables and crab meat.
Cook 3 hours or until meat is tender.
Add rest of ingredients and simmer covered until vegetables are done.
If you want it hotter, add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, or have it available on serving.
