Easy Cincinnati Chili

Brown beef with onions and garlic.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, cocoa, cinnamon and allspice.
Simmer while cooking spaghetti or preparing hotdogs.
Cincinnati chili is served with spaghetti or on hotdogs to make it \"Two Way.\"
Add cheddar cheese on top and you have \"Three Way.\"
With chopped onions you have \"Four Way\" and with beans you have \"Five Way.\" Season with Tabasco to your liking.

Cincinnati Hubby'S Cincinnati Chili

Heat a heavy stockpot and add the oil. Sauate the meat, onions, garlic, cumin, chili powder and bay leaves until meat is barely browned and the onions are clear. Drain fat and discard.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cook, covered, for 1 1/2 hours. You may need to add a little water as it cooks.
Cook spaghetti and drain well. Cover with chili, cheese and chopped onions! Enjoy!

FOR THE CHILI:
Bring 2 quarts of

Combine ground beef, onions and water in a saucepan.
Simmer until beef turns brown.
Add tomatoes with liquid, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cumin, allspice, salt, cayenne, cinnamon, garlic powder and bay leaves.
Cover; simmer 3 hours.
Fat will float.
If time, chill the chili and lift off fat layer or spoon off fat.

Lynne'S Cincinnati Chili

In 4-quart oven, combine water, tomato sauce, onions, chili powder, vinegar, Worcestershire, cinnamon, salt, cumin, allspice, cloves, garlic powder, chocolate, bay leaf and chili pepper.
Bring to boil.
Crumble meat and add slowly to boiling liquid.
Return to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 2 to 3 hours, uncovered, until thickened as desired.
Remove bay leaf and chili pepper.
Top with chopped onion, shredded cheese and/or kidney beans.
Makes 5 cups.

In a large, heavy pot, combine all of the ingredients except the beef, pork, and toppings.
Cover and bring to a boil.
Crumble the meats in gradually and return the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours, uncovered, or until the chili is as thick as you like.
Discard the bay leaves.
Serve the chili in flat soup bowls by putting a layer of spagetti, then the chili over top, then passing the remaining toppings at the table for each person to personalize their own.

Stir first 16 ingredients and bring to boil, then add beef and pork.
Return to boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Add beef to water in a 4-quart pot.
Stir until beef separates into a fine texture.
Boil slowly for 30 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients.
Stir to blend and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 3 hours.
Serve with bowls of cooked spaghetti, chopped raw onions and grated cheese.
Chili can be refrigerated overnight so that the fat can be lifted off before reheating.
