Place chicken pieces in crock pot and sprinkle Italian seasoning over chicken. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons melted butter.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Add this mixture to crock pot and cook on low for an additional hour.

With slotted spoon, transfer chicken and vegetables to platter.

Skim fat off liquid remaining in crock pot.
Discard bay leaf.
Stir in parsley, tarragon, lemon zest, lemon juice, and salt.
Spoon sauce over chicken and veggies.
Brown chicken pieces in a skillet; set aside.
Mix next 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat to boiling point.
Put browned chicken pieces in crock-pot and pour heated mixture over chicken.
Cook all day on LOW.
Serve over hot cooked rice. Serves 4 to 6.
Set crock pot to high.
Add orange juice, garlic, pepper, cumin, cayenne, jalapeno and salt to blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
Place chicken pieces in crock pot and pour orange juice mixture over chicken. Top with onions and potatoes.
