Bright Sunday Morning Meal

For a Sunday morning treat, serve the above on a tray with a red rose to your loved one.

Sunday Roast

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 on Sunday morning before Sunday school. Peel carrots and potatoes and leave in large chunks; set aside. Pam the bottom of the roasting pan with lid.
Put chuck roast in pan and place raw vegetables on top and around the roast.
Sprinkle garlic salt and chili powder on meat and vegetables.
Place onion rings on top and pour your favorite barbecue sauce over it all. Put in oven at 9:30 a.m. and you have a wonderful meal when you get home!

Sunday Pot Roast In Slow Cooker

This has to be started kind of late Saturday night.
It has to be finished while you attend Sunday school and church services Sunday morning for it to be just right.

Sunday Hot Rolls

Dissolve yeast in the warm water.
Then add the other ingredients, beating as you add.
Gradually add flour until dough is soft and not too stiff.
Let stand 6 hours or overnight.
Knead for 5 minutes and divide in 4 parts.
Roll out like pie crust; cut in 8 pieces.
Roll big end to small end.
Put in greased pan and let rise in warm place until after church on Sunday morning or 4 to 5 hours.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Before baking, add a dot of butter to each roll.

Sunday Pancakes

Mix all ingredients together, adding milk until desired consistency.
I like thin pancakes so I add lots of milk.
This is a Sunday morning favorite.
Serve with butter, maple syrup and bacon.
MMMM-good!

Sunday Pot Roast

Pour carrots and potatoes in bottom of crock-pot without draining off the liquid.
Season the pot roast to taste and put on top of carrots and potatoes.
Pour Pepperidge Farm gravy on top. Cook on high about 4 to 5 hours.
If you put this in the crock-pot about 8:00 on Sunday morning, this will be ready for lunch right after 11:00 church.

Sunday Morning Sausage And Egg Souffle

Layer bread, then sausage and cheese in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Beat together eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper.
Pour evenly over ingredients in pan.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, bake, uncovered, 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.

Sunday Meat Loaf

Season to taste.
Add enough water to form and shape.
Press into a sock and tie.
Drop into a large kettle of boiling water; boil slowly for 2 hours.
Set in cool place until Sunday morning, letting meat cool in liquid.
Remove sock and slice.

Sunday Roast And Gravy

Place roast in a 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle with salt.
Combine soup with water, add vegetables and stir.
Pour on top of roast.
Cover tightly with foil.\tBake at 350\u00b0 about 3 hours.
I put this in the oven on a Sunday morning and it's done when we return home. It smells wonderful upon entering your home.
Serves 6-8.

Sunday Morning Brunch

Spray a 9 x 13 pan with Pam.
Fry sausage and drain.
Layer 6 slices of bread in bottom of pan.
Put all of sausage on bread. Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese on sausage.
Layer 6 slices of bread on top.
Sprinkle rest of cheese over bread.
Break eggs into blender (can be done by hand), add milk (more or less to suit) and blend well.
Carefully pour over pan.
Cover and refrigerate overnight. Next morning bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Easy Like Sunday Morning Breakfast Casserole

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a baking pan (I use olive oil).
Distribute the bread pieces evenly in the pan. In my house this means tossing to bowl into the pan and just patting everything into place.
Beat the eggs with the milk. Add the salt, pepper, paprika and any other spices and herbs that float your boat. Beat again.
Pour this over the bread. Aim for an even distribution.
Toss the sausage pieces over the bread. Try to be fair and cover the whole dish evenly.

Saute sausage and drain.
Tear bread into pieces and place in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cover with sausage and cheese.
Beat eggs with milk and mustard.
Pour over sausage and cheese.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Next morning, place in cold oven and turn oven to 350\u00b0.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Do not cover.
This is delicious for a Sunday morning breakfast.

Down Home Pancakes

Blend all dry ingredients.
Add remaining ingredients.
Drop onto hot griddle.
Serve with syrup or jelly and hot coffee on Sunday morning.

Sunday Morning Brunch

Mix mushrooms, eggs, salt, 1 cup milk, mustard and mushroom soup (which has been mixed with 2/3 cup milk).
Layer bread, sausage, cheese and egg mixture in 9 x 12-inch pan.
Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serves 8 to 12.
