Cook 2 pounds of hamburger the night before you will eat this then add the 2 packages of taco seasoning.
Right before you eat it add your cut up onion, lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, I crunch the dorito's in the bag and then add the western dressing.
It is the best taco salad you will ever eat.
I put 8 hours for the time that I chilled the hamburger meat and taco seasoning.

For Taco Salad:
Serve warm meat atop
Brown hamburg with sprinkled taco salad seasoning packet.
Add the tomato sauce and 1/2 can water; let cool.
Chop lettuce, tomatoes, crumbled nacho chips and Cheddar cheese.

Toss lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avacados, beans and olives in a large salad bowl.
Put about 2 cups salad mix into serving bowls and add 1/4 cup seasoned meat,a few pinches of cheese and top with crushed Doritos and 2 tbls ranch dressing.
Brown ground beef, drain grease, adding taco seasoning and following directions on package. Chill.
When ground beef is cold, place in a large bowl and add all remaining ingredients.
Mix well and serve.
Break taco shells or Doritos in bottom of a 13 x 9-inch greased pan. Brown beef and onion in skillet.
Add taco mix as directed. Add beans and simmer.
Pour over chips.
Top with grated cheese.
Put in a 325\u00b0 oven just until cheese is melted.
Serve with layered salad.
Brown meat with taco seasoning mix, drain greese. While meat is browning, chop onion and mix onion, lettuce and shredded cheese. Let meat cool a little and then add sour cream and french dressing. At meat mixture and crushed doritos to lettuce, when ready to serve.
Scramble fry ground beef until cooked and no pink is showing. In a sieve, run under hot water to remove any excess fat.
Add all ingredients together (except coleslaw dressing and crushed taco chips) Refrigerate until ready to serve.
When ready to serve, toss salad well with just enough coleslaw dressing to coat. Top with crushed taco chips.
Mix all of the ingredients and you have a Taco Salad!
You may choose to replace the beans with cooked hamburger (drained).
I choose not to cook!
Fry hamburger; drain grease.
Add water and taco seasoning. Mix all together, putting hamburger mix and taco chips in last. Mix it all together with bottle of French dressing.
Put all items into individual bowls.
Allow each person to build their own taco salad with the items above to their personal liking.

Let cream cheese set out to soften.
Mix cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning with hand mixer.
This is your bottom layer.
On top, use shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and taco cheese.
Dip with taco chips or Doritos.
Layer salsa on top of cheese mixture.
Top with layers of chopped onion, Cheddar cheese, chopped tomato and shredded lettuce.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Serve with taco chips or Doritos.
