My grandmother made the best stuffed peppers.
She could not read or write, so it was difficult to get a recipe from her.
She would sometimes add raisins or \"God's Fingers\" (pine nuts) to her peppers.
Combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, salt & pepper.
Form into 4 patties and set aside.
Heat olive oil in skillet, saute onion & mushrooms.
Return beef to skillet cook for approximately 6 minutes on each side then add 1/4 c merlot and 1/4 c water.
Simmer until slightly reduced (about 8 minutes). Serve with baby peas and mashed potatoes.
Meatloaf: Combine meat loaf ingredients and place into meatloaf pan or regular loaf pan. I usually have a little left over because the pan I use is a small one. The excess I freeze for future use as stuffed pepper filling (there's usually enough for 2 peppers).
Smooth out top.
Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients and pour on top and sides of meatloaf.
Bake at 350\u00b0F about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until done.

In a mixing bowl combine bread crumbs, chopped apple, chopped onion, parsley, salt and pepper.
Add milk and egg; mix well.
Cut each slice of bacon in half crosswise. Shape crumb mixture into balls, using one rounded teaspoon for each. Wrap each ball in half of bacon slice; secure with a metal or wooden pick.
Place bacon wraps on a wire rack set in a baking pan. Bake in a 375 deg. F oven for 30 to 35 minutes or till bacon is brown.
Serve immediately.
Cut top from pepper and clean inside.
Place in dish half filled with water and microwave for 2 minutes.
Turn and microwave for another 2 minutes.
Remove and drain.
Mix turkey, bread, onion and 1/2 Barbecue Sauce recipe.
Stuff pepper with mixture.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 and bake for 45 minutes.
Pour rest of barbecue sauce over pepper and bake 15 minutes longer.
Pound the chicken breasts with mallet until thin. Salt and pepper them.
