Prepare date bar mix as directed.
Let cool.
Crumble and mix in whipped cream.
Grease oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch.
Mix date filling and crumbly mix (date bar mix).
Stir in mincemeat, egg, nuts and hot water.
Spread in pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes in 400\u00b0
oven. Cool.
May be frozen, thawed and iced.
To serve, frost with powdered sugar icing.
Empty contents of both envelopes of date bar mix into mixer bowl.
Add cinnamon, hot water and slightly beaten egg.
Mix well, using low speed.
Add nutmeats and cherries.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Combine shortening, salt and vanilla.
Blend.
Add sugar and cream well.
Add beaten egg and mix thoroughly.
Sift flour and baking powder.
Add to the first, alternately with milk, blending well.
Chill dough.
Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on floured board. Cut into 3-inch cookie.
Place one cookie on ungreased cookie sheet.
Add 1 teaspoon of Date Filling (recipe to follow).
Cover with another cookie.
Press together with a fork.
Prick top of each cookie with a fork.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.

Stir in water and vanilla.
Sift together and stir in flour, salt, soda and cinnamon.

Bake until lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes.

Blend oatmeal to a fine powder in food processor. Cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, vanilla and cinnamon, and mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 56 cookies.
Take the cream cheese and spread over a plate.
Pour the carmel dip over the cream cheese. (the dip works best if has not been in the refrigerator).
Sprinkle the heath topping over the top (just enogh to cover the carmel).
