Preheat oven to 400F (200\u00b0C).
Butter a baking dish of suitable size to hold the bananas.

Crumble 5 slices fried bacon in unbaked pie shell and cover with 1/2 cup cheese. The rest of the bacon and cheese goes into the other shell. I tend to use back bacon as there is less visible fat than the streaky kind.
Combine flour, salt and crushed peppercorns, add evaporated milk and eggs. Really any kind of milk works well depends on how rich you want it. I use skimmed milk.
Blend well and add chopped onion and chopped peppers . Pour into pie shells.
Bake in a pre heated oven at 375 degrees F for 20 - 25 minutes or until inserted ...

Potato Pone

Wash potatoes.
Remove spots.
Do not peel.
Grate potatoes. Add all other ingredients.
Heat oil and butter;
add potato mixture. Make sure it does not stick.
The pone will be finished when it turns almost brown in color.
Transfer to two 9 inch pie pans.
Let cool.
Slice.

Grandma Pondelik'S Sweet Potato Pone

Preheat an oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Beat the butter, sugar, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt together in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in the sweet potatoes, vanilla extract, eggs, and evaporated milk until evenly blended. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven until the sweet potatoes are tender, and the top of the pone is golden brown, about 1 hour.

Old-Fashioned Corn Pone

Mix corn meal, salt and 1 pint warm water.
Add sugar, flour, eggs and the soda and buttermilk.
Stir well.
Pour into greased skillet or pan.
The best results are achieved in an angel food pan.
Bake 1 1/2 hours at 400\u00b0.
When done, pour 1 cup boiling water over the corn pone while still in the pan or skillet.
Allow to soak in.
Serve.
It will be soft and mushy.
Recipe will feed 4 to 6.

Roll one-half the pastry on floured surface into circle 1-inch larger than inverted pie pan.
Ease pastry into pan.
Combine cornstarch, Equal for Recipes, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; sprinkle over apples in large bowl and toss.
Arrange apples in pie crust. Roll remaining pastry into circle large enough to fit top of pie. Place on top of pie; seal edges, trim and flute.
Slash top crust in pattern of your choice.
Bake in preheated 425\u00b0 oven until pastry is golden and apples are tender (40 to 50 minutes).
Cool on wire rack.
