Clean and boil beans until tender (2 hours).
Pass them through a food processor and sift them twice using some milk if necessary.
Add the remaining milk, coconut milk and mix well. Add sugar, salt and spices.
Cook over medium heat; add sweet potatoes and raisins.
Cook 20 minutes longer.
Add butter.
Serve in small bowls with casabe (cassava bread from Indians) or toast, or unsalted crackers.

Stir beans into the sauteed
String & cut beans into 2.5cm lengths. Place into a shallow dish with stock, cover & cook on high for 8 minutes or until beans are tender; drain & reserve stock.
Place butter, onion & garlic in a separet dish, cook on high for 4 mins or until onion is tender.
Stir in flour, then lemon juice and reserved stock, cook on high for 3 mins or until mixture boils & thickens, stirring once.
Combine beans with hot sauce, reheating for approx 2 mins if necessary.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine sweet potatoes, 3/4 stick softened butter, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, eggs and evaporated milk.
Pour into buttered casserole dish.
Bake for 20 minutes. While souffle is baking, melt 1/2 stick butter; stir in cornflakes, brown sugar and nuts.
Spread on top of souffle. Cover with miniature marshmallows and continue baking until set. If canned potatoes are used, use only 1/2 cup milk.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Place the sweet potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring the potatoes to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer about 20 to 30 minutes, until the potatoes are done. Check by piercing with a fork; there should be no resistance. Drain well.
Mash the sweet potatoes with a potato masher or fork, or use a food mill.
Add the lime juice and stir well. Add the milk and stir. Add Cajun seasoning, to taste.
Marinade douchi with millet wine for about 10 minutes.
Cut ginger into thin strips.
Put small amount of water into the pot, let it boil.
Put fish heat resistant bowl or plate, add beans and cover with ginger.
Place into the pot, steam for 20-30 minutes.

Cook potatoes; drain and mash while still warm.
Add balance of ingredients (except marshmallows), as listed, stirring well after each addition.
Grease an ovenproof casserole; add mashed sweet potatoes.
Top with miniature marshmallows, just to cover top of the potato mixture.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.

Mix sweet potatoes and green beans with red potatoes
Cook all dried beans together according to package directions.
Cook green beans in boiling water.
Drain.
(This can be done ahead.).
Cut onions into thin slices, and cut each slice in half.
Cook onions in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until onions are golden brown.
(Original recipe says do not stir onions first 5-10 minutes.) Reduce heat to medium; stir in butter and brown sugar.
Add green beans; cook 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Toss with vinegar.

Note: Recipe is easily doubled or tripled
Fry ground beef and bacon separately then drain.
Add with other ingredients together in large pan or crock pot.
Bring to boil and then reduce heat to simmer for approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Let cool.
If using a crock pot cook on high.
Reheat before serving if you want thicker beans.
When I make this in the crock pot, I usually half the recipe.

Mix ingredients together and heat in the microwave until everything is melted and mixed well.
If serving as a dip, place in crockpot on warm. Tastes even better if you make it up ahead of time, refrigerate 'til needed then reheat.
Note: When doubling the recipe, it's okay to use a 30 ounce can - you don't have to be exact with the measurements.
