Heat a little oil in deep sided pan on high, fry onion until browned. Remove and put aside.
Heat a little more oil on high, brown beef in small batches, removing each batch before adding the next.
Toss into crock pot beef, onion, and remaining ingredients, stir to combine. I like to include a cup of dried apricots.
Cook on low all day, 8 to 10 hours until fork tender. Season to taste. Serve over rice or with couscous and veggies. Savour!
For the crock pot/slow cooker method; in a
Spray crock pot with Pam.
Mix all ingredients except for the beef in crock pot.
Add the beef to the crock pot.
Cover and cook on low 8-9 hours or until everything is tender.
Stir well before serving.
Cover the onions with boiled water, stand for 5 minutes, drain, peel and set aside.
Dust the beef with the flour.
Heat half of the oil in a large frying pan and brown the beef, transfer to the crock pot.
Heat the rest of the oil and on a high heat brown the small onions for approx ten minutes.
Lower the heat to medium and add the chopped onion and the garlic, fry for another 5 minutes.
Now add the rest of the ingredients, mix and warm through then transfer to the crock pot.
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until tender.
In crock pot, sprinkle beef with dry onion soup mix.
Pour hot water over meat.
Stir in carrots, celery and tomato.
Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours or until meat is tender.
Turn control to high.
In a small bowl, combine biscuit mix with parsley.
Stir in milk with fork until mixture is moistened.
Drop dumpling mixture into crock pot with a teaspoon.
Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.
In a crock pot, toss the beef with the flour until evenly coated.
Mix in the onions.
In a small bowl, stir together the tomato paste, red wine, cumin, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water until well blended.
Stir into the beef mixture.
Cover and cook on low 6 to 7 hours or until meat is tender, but not falling apart.
Stir in the sugar.
Serve over noodles or rice, topped with the walnuts and Feta cheese.

Reduce heat and cook covered on medium for 7 hours.

Lightly dredge beef in flour with 1 teaspoon
Brown beef tips in vegetable oil and place in crock pot. In same saucepan, sautee onions and place on top of beef tips.
Add mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce and water to same saucepan. Heat and stir to mix. Add to crock pot.
Turn crock pot to high for 1 hour and turn to low for 4 to 5 hours. Add sour cream during last 15 minutes and stir.
Note: Cream of mushroom soup will add some salty flavor. At end of cook time do a taste test and if too salty, add about 3-4 tablespoons of water which will dilute saltiness.

Cover and cook 5-6 hrs on high, or 10-12 hrs on low.
Follow package directions for Gravy, substituting 1/2 cup of liquid from crock pot for 1/2 cup of water.
Serve with mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and the remaining wine!

In a small bowl, combine consomme, soy sauce, brown sugar, oil, and garlic. Pour over beef. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
In a cup, stir cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sauce from the crock pot until smooth. Add to crock pot. Stir well to combine.
Add broccoli to the crock pot. Stir to combine.
Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes on high (the sauce has to boil for it to thicken).

Remove 1/4 cup of the sauce from the crock pot and mix with the 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Stir back into the Crock Pot. Add the broccoli, stir again, and cook for another half an hour.
In the meantime, cook the rice. Serve Chinese Beef and Broccoli over rice.
