Holiday Spinach Hamburgers

Thaw spinach in microwave or by running under hot water in a colander for a few minutes. Squeeze as much excess water from the spinach as possible.
In a large bowl combine spinach, hamburger, onion soup mix, and cheese. Shape into patties and grill or broil until done. Serve immediately.

In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot butter, cook onions, almonds and rice until onions are tender, stirring constantly.
Add broth and pepper.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover; simmer 15 minutes.
Add spinach.
Cover; simmer 10 minutes more or until liquid is absorbed, breaking up spinach with fork.
Add cheese and pimento.
Heat until cheese melts.
Garnish with sliced almonds.
Makes 8 cups or 12 servings.

Stir in artichokes, spinach and pimentos.
Cut slice off top of whole loaf of bread and hollow out center leaving 1-inch shell.
Reserve the bread for dipping.
Also use cubed bread for dipping.
