Pour into a greased 4 x 8 x 3 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Yield:
one loaf.
Mix the ingredients together and pour into a small aluminum loaf pan (3 1/2 x 6-inch) sprayed with Pam.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Cool on a cake rack and top with apple spice icing, if desired.

Make Rich Tea Biscuit dough, adding more milk to make a drop biscuit dough. Spread the dough 1/2 inch deep in an oblong 9 x 12-inch baking dish. Peel and pare apples; cut in eighths. Press apple slices into top of dough very close together. (It won't hurt if more than a layer thick.) Dot with butter or oleo. Mix cinnamon and sugar together.
Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done. Serve warm or cold with Lemon Sauce (recipe follows).
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar, egg, and oil. Stir in the flour mixture just until combined, and fold in the apples, nuts, and raisins.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
