To make Simple Oatmeal Cookies: Mix the flour, baking soda

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.

To the creamy mixture add peanut butter and applesauce; set aside.
Next sift flours & spices together and gradually add to the creamy mixture.
Last add the oatmeal, cereal, raisins and nuts; mix well.
Refrigerate cookie dough for 1 hour.
Drop cookie dough by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until done, depending on your oven.
Beat margarine and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well.
Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oatmeal, chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 9 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then move to wire rack to cool completely. Makes approximately 5 dozen.

Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until light and fluffy.
Mix together flour, soda, baking powder and salt. When well mixed, add slowly to sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla. Add oatmeal and coconut alternately while beating mixture. Stir in nuts and drop by tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 to 12 minutes until cookies are golden brown.
For crisp cookies, bake longer; for chewy cookies, bake less.

Spread dry oats on a jelly roll pan and put under the broiler to toast. Stir frequently to brown evenly and watch because they burn quickly. Set toasted oats aside.
Cream together the shortening and the sugars. Add eggs and blend.
Add toasted oats and mix well. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Blend.
Drop by large rounded spoonful for man-sized cookies. Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 10 minutes
or until dry. Don't overbake. Bake less time for smaller cookies.
Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla.
Let stand for 1 hour covered in plastic wrap. Do not skip this step because it is the secret for delicious cookies!
Set oven at 350\u00b0.
Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Stir in the rest of ingredients.
Arrange by teaspoon on buttered cookie sheets.
Bake until the edges are brown (about 12 minutes).
For thicker cookies, increase the oatmeal to 2 cups and the flour to 1 3/4 cups.
