Simple Oatmeal Cookies Or Cowboy Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Simple Oatmeal Cookies
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening, melted (can use butter)
    1 tablespoon molasses
    1/4 cup milk
    1 3/4 cups oatmeal, uncooked
    1/2 cup raisins
    For Cowboy Cookies (add in)
3/4 cup sweetened coconut, flaked (reduce oatmeal by 1/4 cup) or 3/4 cup sweetened coconut, shredded (reduce oatmeal by 1/4 cup)
    1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
To make Simple Oatmeal Cookies: Mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt together in a large bowl.
    Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Arrange by teaspoonfuls on unbuttered cookie sheets. Leave about 1 inch in between. They do spread a wee bit. Not too much though.
Bake until the edges are brown, about 10-12 minutes.
For Cowboy Cookies: Add in coconut and chocolate chips when you add in the rest of the ingredients (Step 3). Drop them by the FULL tablespoon on a cookie sheet. (Might have to \"squish\" them a bit) Bake for 14-17 minutes or until mostly brown.
