Make bread by the usual recipe for Sourdough Bread.
Arrange bread in a double layer in a lightly greased 9 inch by 13 inch baking pan. (Cut bread as needed to cover bottom of pan.) Whisk together eggs, egg yolks and sugar. Gradually add milk, half and half and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Dust with powdered sugar while warm and serve.
In large mixing bowl, whisk eggs; blend in milk, half and half, sugar and vanilla until combined. Stir in bread cubes until lightly moistened. Grease a 2-quart rectangular baking dish and spread mixture in evenly. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes or until center starts to firm.
