Stir in flour mixture alternately with sour milk and mashed bananas to shortening mixture until smooth.
Add nuts and bake in 5 x 9-inch loaf pan for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean from center of loaf.
Melt butter or margarine; add sugar, then the beaten egg.
Add soda, salt and baking powder into sifted flour.
Then combine all ingredients and bake in loaf pan or bread pan in 350\u00b0 oven for about 35 minutes.
Preheat oven to 325 and grease 2 round cake pans or one large cake pan.
Mash bananas and mix all ingredients except pecansin a large bowl.
Use a hand mixer and beat ingredients for about 3 minutes.
Pour batter into baking pans (split evenly) or into large baking pan.
Bake for 40-50 minutes or until tester comes out somewhat dry.
I recommend frosting this with a nice cream cheese frosting.
BANANA LAYER CAKE:
Grease and flour two 9 inch cake pans.

Use your favorite white cake recipe or use 1 white cake mix and bake according to instructions in 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Let cool 10 to 15 minutes.
Poke holes in the cake with a toothpick, fork tines, etc.
Make yellow cake as directed in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
When cake is done, remove from oven and pierce thoroughly with large fork. Dissolve jello in 1 cup boiling water; drizzle slowly over cake. Mix instant pudding as package directs; spread over cake. Refrigerate until just before serving (overnight is okay).
Slice strawberries and banana over cake.
Spread whipped topping over cake; cut and serve.
Bake cake as directed on box.
Cool.
Beat cream cheese, milk and pudding until stiff.
Spread on cake.
Next, spread pineapple and banana on cake.
Top this with Cool Whip and sprinkle with nuts.
Bake Banana Yellow Cake in oblong pan.
Cool.
Prepare butterscotch pudding mix (not instant) as directed on package. Spread on top of cake to within 1/2-inch of edge.
Frost with Mallow-Nut Frosting.
Melt butter, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice in a saucepan.
Spray sides and bottom of a cake pan.
Pour brown sugar mixture into it.
Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top.
Prepare cake mix according to directions on package, or make your favorite cake recipe and pour over mixture in cake pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Let stand to cool a few minutes, then invert onto a plate.
