Cover and allow to simmer until almost tender (15 to 20 minutes).
Add okra and garlic to the meat and simmer for another 15 minutes.
Peel tomatoes and whirl in blender, then add to meat and okra.

Pour boiling water over crabs to stun them to prevent them pinching you.
\"Debark\" and clean them (remove the top shell and gills), break in half.

Fry the bacon in a large skillet, add crab pieces, onons, water, and if using, stewed tomatoes.
Add salt and pepper to taste and simmer 15 minutes.
Add okra and boil gently, stirring often, 15 to 20 minutes- or simmer until the okra is tender but the crab is still firm.
In skillet, brown ground beef.
Set aside and if necessary, pour off fat.
Combine okra, onion, tomatoes and tomato sauce in Dutch oven or large saucepan.
Saute for 10
minutes.
Add meat and seasonings to vegetables, mixing well.
Simmer over medium heat about 20 additional minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
Excellent with corn bread.
Wash okra and chop off stems.
Cut onions into fine pieces.
Saute onions in oil till golden on medium.
Add garlic and stir for a few seconds.
Add spices stir for a few seconds add meat cook till water from meat drys on medium heat.
Stir at intervals.
Add tomato paste stir for a few seconds add blended tomatoes and water to meat, cook until meat is done.
Add okra to meat and simmer on medium low for 13 minutes.
Add the chopped coriander and lemon juice, simmer another 3 minutes.
Serve hot with basmati white rice.
