Boil water.
Dissolve bouillon cubes.
Add shortening.
Mix flour and oatmeal, stir in liquid mix. Form into dough and roll out on floured surface.
Cut into 1/4 inch shapes. Bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes, or until brown.
Best if left to cool and harden overnight.
Yields approximately 36 doggie biscuits. or the other.

Maple Flavored Doggie Treats

Preheat oven to 300 F.
Dissolve cubes in water.
Mix all the ingredients in large mixing bowl.
Roll out dough into 1/2 inch thick.
Shape into biscuits or cut into circles with a small drinking glass.
Brush with margarine when warm.
Allow to cool completely.
For extra crunchy leave in oven for 24 hrs.
I usually just leave it in for 1 hr or so.
Makes approx.
36 treats.

Caramel Treats

Using the original Rice Krispies Treats recipe, add caramel topping to melted marshmallow mixture at step 1 just before adding cereal.
Follow remaining directions in steps 2 and 3. Put in freezer for 30 minutes and then cut in 2 x 2-inch squares.
Yields 24 treats.

Tropical Treats

Sprinkle chopped, mixed dried fruit in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray.
Using the original Rice Krispies Treats recipe, gently press cereal mixture into pan on the top of mixed fruit.
Put in freezer for 30 minutes.
Invert pan and cut into squares.
Yields 24.

Reindeer Crunchies Ii(Used With Reindeer Treats)

Mix \"Reindeer Treats\" with peanut butter.
Place mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until ingredients have cooled and hardened.
Shape mixture into a ball to look like a reindeer's head.
Put raisins where eyes and nose go.
Push antlers into head.
Keep in refrigerator until ready to eat.

Crunchy Fruit Cobbler(Used With Reindeer Treats)

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Slice unpeeled fruit into small chunks. Put 2 cups \"Reindeer Treats\" into a bowl.
Add chopped fruit and 1 cup honey.
Stir until honey coats the ingredients.
Use half of the softened butter to coat the inside of the baking dish, cover bottom and sides completely.
Pour mixture into baking dish.
Cut remaining butter into chunks (small) and sprinkle on top.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve warm by itself or with milk or ice cream.

Billy'S Fro-Yo Doggy Treats

Blend yogurt, peanut butter, banana, and flaxseed meal in a food processor or blender until smooth. Pour into 8 lined cups of a muffin tin (silicone cupcake liners work well for these), filling cups halfway. Top each with a dogbone treat.
Cover with plastic wrap and freeze until solid, at least 2 hours. Pop treats out of tin, remove liners, and freeze in a zip-top plastic freezer bag up to 2 weeks.

HOMEMADE PESTO: Combine basil, oil, grated

In a large Dutch oven, lightly brown the meat in oil and garlic at medium-low heat.
Slowly mix in water and tomato paste. Add onions, celery and bell peppers. Simmer, covered, 3 to 5 hours until meat is very tender. Check often and add water as needed, making certain there is about a quart of thin sauce when ready to add the pasta.
Add salt, pepper and homemade pasta.
Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes to 1/2 hour, stirring often, until broth is absorbed.
Stir in parsley. Serves 6.

Grilled Catfish With Homemade Salsa

Sprinkle catfish with garlic salt and pepper.
Place catfish in a well-oiled grill basket, or on a well-oiled grill rack.
Grill on an uncovered grill directly over medium-hot coals for about 5 minutes per side, or until fish flakes easily.
HOMEMADE SALSA: In a bowl combine tomatoes, onion, jalapeno peppers, vinegar and salt and stir well Let stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.
Chill to store.
Serve over catfish fillets, hot off the grill.

Caesar Salad With Homemade Croutons

*Homemade Croutons:
Heat olive oil in heavy skillet. Cut Italian or French bread into 3/4-inch squares.
Place into hot oil.
Add minced clove of fresh garlic. Stir until browned evenly. Remove from heat and let cool in a cloth napkin or light towel.
