Prepare Orange Salad Dressing (recipe follows).
Put plumped dark seedless raisins into a bowl and pour in dressing to cover. Chill raisins and remaining dressing.
In a salad bowl, toss desired amount of shredded carrots and cabbage with the marinated raisins and dressing to coat.
Cut the chicken into chunks and brown.
Crush the noodles and brown them in butter until they are toasted.
Sprinkle Ramen seasoning that comes with the noodles onto the noodles.
Shred the cabbages.
Thinly dice the onions and celery.
Toss all the ingredients together.
Just at time to serve, pour the dressing over.
Cut and shred cabbage.
Cook in a small amount of boiling water with salt, cloves and pepper for about 45 minutes.
Don't let it boil dry, but don't add too much water.
During the last 10 minutes of cooking time add the vinegar.
Just before serving add the butter and seasoning.

Toss together first 6 ingredients in a large bowl.
Toss with Lemon Poppyseed dressing (recipe follows).
Divide to individual chilled salad plates to serve.
Lemon Poppyseed Dressing:
Process 2/3 cup light olive oil and remaining ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week; serve at room temperature.

Boil for 3 hours or until tender when jabbed with a fork. (Keep adding water to keep pan from boiling dry.)
Save brine (or broth) and place in a large kettle.
In brine, cook cabbage, potatoes, carrots and onions until tender.
Slice beef and serve with vegetables.
Serves 4 to 6.
Divide lettuce among 8 plates. Top with avocado and steak. Sprinkle cheese and tortilla chips over steak. Top with tomatoes. Drizzle Chipotle Dressing over each salad. Serve immediately.
Chipotle Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients except cilantro until blended. Stir in cilantro. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
Fry the bacon pieces in a medium size skillet until crisp. Drain on paper towels and reserve the fat in the skillet.
Saute the bread slowly in the hot bacon fat until crisp and browned. Make the salad dressing.
Combine the salad greens, bacon, croutons and Blue cheese in a salad bowl.
Add the dressing; toss and serve immediately.
Makes 6 portions.
For the dressing: Mix the first eleven ingredients
Cook snow peas in large quantity of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water. Drain. Toss lettuce with celery. Arrange in an even layer over the bottom of a straight-sided clear glass salad bowl. Arrange the carrots, zucchini and tomatoes in separate layers over the lettuce-celery mixture. Arrange the snow peas in a fan pattern over the tomatoes. Garnish with mushroom and basil. Cover and refrigerate. Prepare Herb-Walnut Dressing. Just before serving, add the dressing; toss well.
Mix first 5 ingredients until smooth.
(Zender's seasoning can be purchased at the restaurant or by mail order.) It contains garlic and paprika along with some other spices.
I use the Zender's seasoning.
Store in refrigerator.
Chill before using.
Shred cabbage.
Add carrots, onions, red cabbage and green peppers.
Add dressing until it coats the cabbage but doesn't make it soggy.
Recipe may be halved as it makes a large quantity, otherwise.
Set oven to 350 degreesPlace the broken noodles and peanuts on a baking sheet and toast until golden brown; cool to room temperature.
In a bowl place the coleslaw, green onions, red bell pepper, toasted ramen noodles and peanuts; toss to combine.
In a bowl mix the dressing ingredients together until well combined; pour over the salad, then toss to combine.
Top salad with mandarin orange segments.
**NOTE** do not add in the dressing until ready to serve the salad or the toasted ramen noodles will loose their crunch.
