Sort your beans and remove and broken pieces or pebbles. I
Wash and clean pinto beans; add 2 quarts water to large pot. Add beans and cook 3 hours.
Add spices.
Add veggies and ham with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Mash with fork some of the beans to make thick.
Serve with cornbread.

Add pinto beans, hot sauce, and onion. Boil on medium heat until beans are done to taste (usually I go for about 1 1/2 hours).
Serve with rice and a meat side dish. Tastes even better the 2nd day!

Discard ham hocks prior to serving.

Once boiling, reduce the heat and cook on medium to low for approximately 3-4 hours until the soup reaches desired consistency (usually thick and creamy). You may have to add water.
Remember to stir often, as the beans cook on the bottom of the pot.
Place pinto beans and garlic in crockpot and cover with water.

Mix together the lemon juice, soy sauce and water and set aside.
Heat a large skillet and add the olive oil. Stir in the curry until mixed.
Add the rice and mix well. Stir in the pinto beans.
Add the lemon juice mixture, combine well.

Place broth and spinach in a pot over medium heat, and cook 5 minutes, or until spinach is thawed. Mix in dark and light kidney beans, black beans and liquid, great northern beans and liquid, pinto beans and liquid, and oil. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove stems from greens, rinse well and chop into large pieces.
Saute onion in water or a little bit of olive oil in large pan over medium low heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
