In a food processor, pulse watercress until finely chopped. Add butter and lemon juice. Season then puree until evenly combined. Transfer to a sheet of plastic wrap and shape into a log, about 1 1/4 inch wide. Roll up in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour, until firm.
Cut into thin slices and serve with whole wheat bread.

Keep covered in a warm place until double in size, about 1 hour.
Punch down and form 2 loaves.
Let raise in nonstick loaf pans until double in size.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cool and slice. Makes 2 loaves.
Put the ingredients into the bread machine pan in the order

When it is kneading;check to see if you need more flour or water.
Set to Whole Wheat setting.

Add ingredients in order listed to your bread machine. If your bread machine specifies dry ingredients should be added first, reverse the order in which ingredients are added. Use the basic (not the whole wheat) cycle on your bread machine.
Try subbing 1/2c rye flour and adding 1tsp of caraway seeds for a delicious seeded rye!
emove crusts from 12 oz whole wheat bread. Cut bread up into small squares
In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order listed. Select basic bread setting (or whole-wheat setting if available). Choose crust color and 1 1/2-pound loaf size, if available. Bake according to bread machine directions. (Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing.) Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed.
Spray the bread container of your bread machine with cooking spray.
Add ingredients,except pecans and raisins, according to the recommendation of your bread machine manufacturer.
Use the whole wheat or basic/white setting.
Use the light or medium crust setting.
Remove and cool on rack when baked.
Place all the ingredients in a bread machine with a 2 lb loaf capacity.
Put the ingredients into the pan more-or-less in the order given- wet ingredients first, yeast last.
This will allow you to use a timer if desired.
Use the whole wheat setting on the bread machine to bake the bread.
