Applesauce Raisin Cake

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 10-inch loaf pan.
In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat brown sugar, butter, baking soda, cinnamon and salt until light and fluffy.
Reduce speed to low.
Add flour, applesauce and eggs; beat until blended.
With a spoon, stir in raisins and chopped nuts.
Spoon batter into pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes. Remove cake from pan; cool completely.
When cake is cool, prepare glaze.

Applesauce Raisin Cake(Yields 9 X 13-Inch Cake)

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in egg, then applesauce.
Mix and sift flour, baking soda, salt and spices.
Add to applesauce mixture and blend.
Stir in water and raisins.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
Cool and cut into 2-inch squares.
Needs no icing.

Applesauce Raisin Cake

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the applesauce. Fold in the walnuts and raisins. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

Applesauce-Raisin Cake

Blend shortening and sugar together until fluffy.
Add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
Add the eggs and beat for 2 minutes.
Stir in flour, soda, applesauce, raisins and nuts, blending with a spoon.
Pour into a tube pan.

Applesauce Raisin Cake

Mix the oil, Sweet 'N Low, applesauce, vanilla and water.
In another bowl, sift the flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Add 1 cup raisins to dry ingredients and mix well.
Add about half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Add 1/2 cup sweet milk.
Add remaining dry ingredients. Mix well.
Bake in greased and floured 9 x 16-inch Pyrex baking dish for 25 to 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.

In large bowl, combine applesauce, sugar and liquid Butter Buds.
In separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, cloves and cinnamon.
Add to applesauce mixture.
Stir by hand and mix well. Add raisins.

Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.

Cook raisins in water until water is dissolved.
Add applesauce, eggs, oil, then remaining ingredients.
Mix well by hand.
Put in 8-inch square pan sprayed with Pam.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.

Applesauce Raisin Cake

Combine flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and nuts in a bowl.
Plump raisins by placing in hot water for 10 minutes and drain off water.
Melt margarine in a saucepan and heat until bubbling.
Add applesauce and baking soda.

Use your favorite white cake recipe or use 1 white cake mix and bake according to instructions in 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Let cool 10 to 15 minutes.
Poke holes in the cake with a toothpick, fork tines, etc.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Melt butter, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice in a saucepan.
Spray sides and bottom of a cake pan.
Pour brown sugar mixture into it.
Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top.
Prepare cake mix according to directions on package, or make your favorite cake recipe and pour over mixture in cake pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Let stand to cool a few minutes, then invert onto a plate.

Prepare favorite white cake recipe or boxed cake mix and divide batter between 1 (8-inch) square pan and 1 (8-inch) round pan.
Bake according to directions.
Remove cakes from pan and cool.
