Applesauce Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour (can mix whole wheat with all-purpose)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1 c. raisins and/or chopped nuts
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. applesauce
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and nuts in a bowl.
    Plump raisins by placing in hot water for 10 minutes and drain off water.
    Melt margarine in a saucepan and heat until bubbling.
    Add applesauce and baking soda.
    Remove from heat. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
    Fill a greased pan 3/4 full and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until firm on top.
    Frost, if desired, when cool.
