In large mixing bowl, put bread pieces and pour part of heated broth; let this soak, then crumble corn bread into bowl and pour remaining broth.
Saute onion in 1 stick of butter, then add this to dressing.
Add seasonings; mix well.
Should be very soupy.
Add beaten eggs and mix well.
Pour into greased casserole dish and bake at 375\u00b0 for about 1 hour until browned on top.

Forty five minutes before serving, combine milk, mace and lemon peel in top of double boiler.
Let simmer over direct heat for 7 minutes.
Add crabmeat, butter and creams. Heat over boiling water for 15 minutes.

Just before serving, add sherry and hard-cooked egg yolks in bottom of each soup plate. Add soup.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
