Mix in cooled raisins.

Add nutmeg and allspice as desired.

Blend in egg, rind and vanilla.
Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder.
Sift flour mixture, oatmeal, nuts and raisins into creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Allow to cool for a short time before removing from cookie sheet.
Remove to wire rack to cool.
Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

Add eggs and vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients; mix until moist.
Add oatmeal, chocolate chips and raisins.
Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes in a 350\u00b0 preheated oven.
Follow recipe on Nestle chocolate chip bag, except completely melt butter (don't just soften).
Add the oatmeal, Grape-Nuts and chips to final mixture.

Drop by tablespoons onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cook together raisins and water until 1/2 water remains.
Cool and save water.
Drain raisins.
Mix and cream the shortening, sugars and egg.
Stir in cooled raisin water and vanilla. Sift together and stir in dry ingredients. Add applesauce.
Lastly add and stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonful on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
