Fry the onions until golden brown, and then remove from pan to a small dish.
Brown meat.
Add molasses, soy sauce, salt and hot water to cover.
Simmer for about 1 1/2 hours.
Add celery and simmer another 15 minutes.

Cut stew meat into small to medium squares.
Put into an oven-safe casserole dish or pot.

The slower you cook it the more tender the meat will be. Let cool, then put all the meat into a pie shell, covering the meat with the broth.
Put on top pie shell and place on a cookie sheet.
Cook at 425\u00b0 until pie crust is brown.

MEAT PIE directions:
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F.
Combine first ten (10) ingredients.
Press meat mixture into unbaked pie crust.
Bake at 375\u00b0F for 50 minutes.
CHEESE TOPPING directions:
Combine cheese and Worcestershire sauce and spread on top of baked meat pie.
Bake an additional 10 minutes.
Cool 10-15 minutes before slicing.
6-8 servings.
Meat Pie Filling:
Melt shortening in heavy pot.
Add meat.

Preheat oven to 400.
Combine potatoes, carrot, rutabaga, onion, ground beef, salt and pepper. It is good to use your hands to get it well combined.
Line pie pan with one crust, add vegetable and meat mixture.
Slice butter into patties and put on top of the vegetable/meat mixture.
Put top crust on and puncture in a few places with a fork.
Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
Let sit for about 10 minutes before serving.
You can also make these pocket style for a nice portable meat pie.

Combine beef, bread crumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, milk and salt in a large bowl.
Set aside.
Line a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan with a pie crust, overlap the rim.
Spoon half of the meat mixture. Top with hard-cooked eggs.
Cover with the remaining meat mixture and pat smooth.
Place pie crust on top of meat, flute (pinch together) top and bottom crust.
Cut out a small circle in the center of the pastry.

Brown pork and beef then drain fat.
Add water, onion, garlic and spices. Mix with browned meat then simmer for 25 minutes.
Boil and mash potatoes.
Add meat evenly to two pie shells placed in pie pans. Cover with mashed potatos, then cover once again with the other two crusts.
Beat the egg and brush the top crust of both pies.

Add water, tomato paste and spaghetti sauce mix; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup Parmesean cheese on bottom of pie shell.
Spread 1/2 meat mixture on top of parmesean and then layer 1 cup Mozarella.
Layer remaining meat mixture.
Top with 1/4 cup Parmesean.
Bake on cookie sheet in 400-degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle with 1 cup Mozarella and heat until melted (10 minutes).

When mixture is cooked, add mashed potatoes and mix well- should not be lumpy.

In processor or blender, mix lemon juice, eggs and sugar.
Add milk and mix, then add English muffin crumbs.
Pour over pears.

Cool and place on plate.
In pan, melt margarine and add brown sugar and cream. Bring to boil 4 to 5 minutes.
Turn fire off and add vanilla.
To serve, spread Cool Whip on top and pour sauce over.
