First you toast the bread.
Then after a while you put the butter on the toast after the toast pops up.
Then you mix the cinnamon and sugar.
Shake it up real good if you have a container.
After you shake it up real good, you put some cinnamon and sugar on the butter that is on the bread.
There is your cinnamon toast.
Pre-heat your broiler. Lightly butter one side of each piece of bread. Place on cookie sheet. Sprinkle one teaspoon of white sugar across the surface of each piece of bread.
Shake cinnamon (to taste) over the sugar and butter layer.
Broil 6\" below the broiler element until butter bubbles, sugar melts and cinnamon turns dark. Keep an eye on your cinnamon toast. This will only take a couple of minutes.
Serve hot to warm.

Heat 4 tbsp of the butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add brown sugar, 1/4 cup water and apples. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are just tender. Stir in the cinnamon and 1/2 cup of the cream.
Whip remaining 1/2 cup cream in medium bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form.
Toast the bread and spread one side with the remaining 2 tbsp softened butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Serve toast with apple mixture and whipped cream.

Make sure butter is at room temperature. If not, microwave for 20 seconds, taking it out to check it every 5 seconds. You want it to be soft, not melted.
Using the back of a spoon, mash the butter until it's smooth and creamy.
Add the cinnamon, white sugar and brown sugar to the butter. Make sure the brown sugar is not in clumps when you add it to the butter.
Mix well, until everything is combined. Serve chilled or at room temperature on bread or toast.
