Mix together sugar, margarine, powdered sugar and oil.
Add eggs, beating thoroughly.
Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and almond flavoring; mix well.
Drop small ball of dough on cookie sheet.
Press down with fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Do not let cookies burn.

Old Fashioned Amish Cookies

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Blend sugar, oil and margarine.
Stir in eggs and cream well.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Will make a soft dough.
Roll into balls.
Roll the balls in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
Flatten with fork and bake 10 minutes on greased cookie sheet.
Makes 100 cookies.

Mix all ingredients, except flour, until smooth.
Add flour, one cup at a time, and mix well.
Roll dough into balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and press with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes for soft cookies or 10 to 12 minutes for crispier cookies.

Cream together the oil, sugar and eggs.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Drop by 1/4 cup scoop (4 cookies to each cookie sheet).
Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar before baking.

Watch carefully so that they won't brown too much and stay soft.

Dough can be refrigerated indefinitely.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, mix together the butter, oil, white sugar, and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Stir into the sugar mixture until just combined. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Cream shortening with sugar.
Beat egg and blend with butter mixture.
Sift flour, salt and soda.
Stir into egg mixture, blending thoroughly.
Fold mincemeat into mixture.
Drop by teaspoon and bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 about 8 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
