Rose Water Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp rose essence
    1 None egg, at room temperature
    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    2-3 few drops pink food coloring
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Cream butter, sugar and rose essence. Add egg. Add flour and baking powder. Divide into 2 equal portions. Add food coloring to 1 portion and knead until smooth and evenly colored. Shape each portion of dough into a disc, cover with plastic wrap and chill for 15 mins, or until firm.
    Roll out each portion of dough into a 12 x 8 inch rectangle. Stack together then roll up to form a log. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 15 mins, or until firm.
    Cut dough into 1/3 inch slices, place on prepared tray and bake for 12 mins, or until golden. Let cool on trays.
