Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg yolk (reserve white)
1 cup flour
Preparation

Combine ingredients in mixer bowl until blended
Shape into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet
Beat egg white slightly with fork. Dip fork in egg white and lightly press cookie. Sprinkle with additional sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0F.
