Cranberry-Orange Nut Bread - cooking recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon orange zest
3/4 cup orange juice
1 egg
1 cup of chopped cranberries
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Grease bottom of 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda; cut in the butter until crumbly.
Add orange peel, orange juice and egg, and stir just until moistened.
Mix in cranberries and nuts; pour into prepared pan and bake 55 to 65 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely before cutting.
