Sugar-Free Diabetic Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. water
    2 c. raisins
    1/3 c. oil
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. liquid sweetener
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    about 1 1/2 c. applesauce
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Boil water, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and oil 3 minutes.
    Set aside to cool.
    Mix warm water, soda, sweetener, salt and baking powder.
    Set aside.
    Beat 1 egg well.
    Add second mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add applesauce and first mixture; beat well.
    Blend in flour.
    If needed, use more applesauce to make batter.
    Add nuts. Bake at 350\u00b0 about 30 minutes in a 10 x 15-inch pan.
    When cool, cut into bars.
