Fresh Broccoli Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

1 bunch broccoli, remove leaves and stems
3/4 c. yellow corn meal
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
1 c. sliced celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
4 eggs, separated
1 c. milk
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
Preparation

Place flowerets in a saucepan with 1 inch boiling, salted water.
Cover; cook 10 to 12 minutes until tender.
Drain; set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine corn meal, flour and salt. Gradually add water, bringing to a boil, stirring until thickened. Stir in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine.
