Bishop'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. sour milk
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, salt and shortening.
    Save 3/4 cup of this mixture for top crumbs.
    To the remainder, add baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, egg and sour milk; beat until batter is smooth.
    Pour into an 8-inch square, oiled pan and scatter reserved crumbs on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Serve warm with butter.
