Brazilian Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Sift together flour, soda and baking powder.
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs.
Blend well.
Add flour with bananas, alternately, beating well after each addition.
Fold in nuts. Pour into prepared pan and let stand 15 minutes.
Bake 45 to 60 minutes.
