Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecans
    1 c. butter, softened and cut into 8 pieces
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    about 1 c. powdered sugar (to dust cookies with)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Process pecans and 1/4 cup sugar until nuts are finely ground.
    Add butter, vanilla and salt and blend 1 minute, stopping once to scrape down work load.
    Add flour and process until just combined, using 2 or 3 on/off turns.
    Do not overprocess.
